Wow, I can't believe we have reached the end of The Dirty Blood series. Tara and Wes' journey for peace has concluded. It was action packed, pretty much from the start of this 5th and final book. There were some outright surprises and plot twists, especially for Cambria. I really liked her character, as a major secondary player in this story, she almost trumped Tara. She was an awesome side kick to Tara, and very well written. All the major characters were well written and well developed. This was my second favorite book in this series, book two was my favorite.Overall, definitely well worth reading. If you have read all the books in this series, you will not be disappointed. All plot lines were concluded, leaving me with no outstanding questions. Some things were only alluded to, but that's as good as a conclusion. This was a page turner from start to finish. I do like a book that is easy to follow and fast paced, before you know it you have finished. What I got from this series, was all things are worth fighting for, if it is something you truly believe in. There will always be barriers to overcome, but that is part of life, and true friends will always have your back.

Loved the entire series. I was so glad when there was really an ending. Still room to continue their stories, but there was closure to the series. Great job!
Started reading the first book simply to pass the time. Didn't expect to have a real interest but thought I'd read something out of my normal genres. Couldn't wait to finish one book Soni could start the next. Heather Hildenbrand is an author I will definitely keep on my radar.
I absolutely loved how everything turned out in the end. Everyone was settled and happy. It's amazing how much everything and everyone was tied together and how they all ended up back into the reality of the current world that existed are their supernatural life.
After absolutely falling in love with this series, I was definitely pretty disappointed with how this one seemed to just flatline. It definitely wrapped up the series and answered all the questions left, but it was kind of boring.
Such a shame, considering how much I enjoyed the first four books.
So definitely #TeamWes. I still love Alex though. This book was so amazing. Omgee I'm gonna cry. I hate the ending of a series. It's like. Final. But this was so perfect. Beautiful story. Series was amazing and incredible. Definite book hangover. It was just. I hate happy endings! I don't want the series to be over! But this book was epic and perfect. Job well done. Tara you rocked it and I'm happy you found exactly what you were looking for.
Had to read it almost non stop. Well written with excellent plot twists, teen angst, and coming of age. Double crossing and betrayals plus interspersed warfare. Very difficult to stop reading and go to sleep.
Broken Blood begins with Tara being held captive and tortured by Gordon Steepe, but that's just the beginning of her problems. While Tara knows she's been drugged and trapped for months, that's not what the rest of the world thinks. Gordon has been systematically releasing doctored videos showing Tara committing heinous crimes. Worse than that he's using those videos to justify changing laws and starting an all out race war. The Cause has fallen and all races are out for blood and hunting any former Cause member. Even these aren't l Tara's worst problems while she's been locked away. Her wolf is gone. No matter how hard she tries she can't pull it to the surface. What's worse is her pack is also gone. No voices fill her mind. She spends everyday totally alone with nothing to do but wonder if anyone she loves is even still alive. So when she's escorted from her cell one day to be asked a favor from Gordon, she realizes she needs to fight. Can she come out of her stupor and fight back? If she does is anyone even there waiting for her? If she still has loved ones alive, can they stop the hate that fuels the war now raging around? This book has all the characters we know and love changed in such a drastic way. The war has changed them. Fighting for their lives has changed them. In this book we see the innocence of them stripped. They must fully accept their fate, and fight for the world they want to live in. Their battle wounds are carried on their souls as well as their bodies, and in this book it shows. The twists in this book were very clever, and the storyline was a perfect ending. This was a perfect ending for a great series, and I can't wait for something new to read from Heather.
